

Douglas Irvine - Director
Douglas is a founding member and the Artistic Producer of Visible Fictions for whom he has created and directed highly acclaimed young people’s work including Big Baby, Into The Dark, Monster, Shopping For Shoes, The Song From The Sea, Henry and The Seahorse, Two Weeks With The Queen and The Pearl. As co-creator of The Red Balloon, he led Visible Fictions to be the first Scottish theatre company to perform on Broadway and has since directed for the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles and collaborated with the Seattle Children’s Theatre.
Daniel Padden - Music
Daniel, a Glasgow-based composer and musician, has written music for theatre, film and TV. He has also run music workshops for children and adults, reflecting his beliefs that learning and creating music should involve improvising and experimenting. He is a member of the groups Volcano The Bear and The One Ensemble and has performed extensively around the UK and Europe. Theatre scores include Big Baby (Visible Fictions) and Horsehead (Faulty Optic). Short film scores include Half Life (Matt Hulse), Original Bob and Laid Off (Zam Salim).
Robert Forrest - Writer
Robert has been a professional writer for more than twenty years. Theatre titles include Guizer Martin, Kepler, Lucia, Nova, The Book Of Love and the Visible Fictions/BBC Radio Drama co-production Prince Unleashed. He has won three awards for radio work which includes 15 original plays such as Shanidar, Entertaining Unawares and Summersets and dramatisations by George Eliot, R L Stevenson and Nabokov. His next production is a serial dramatisation of Tolstoy's Resurrection.He has also written for TV and published short stories.
Robin Peoples - Designer
A graduate of the University of St Andrews, Robin taught at the University of Erlangen-Nurnberg, Germany. He was holder of the first Scottish Arts Council Director’s Bursary and is the former Artistic Director of Scottish Youth Theatre and the Brunton Theatre. He has directed and designed over 250 productions including work for the Tron, Mull Theatre Co, Whitehall Theatre, Theatrebabel, the Byre, 7:84, Perth Theatre and the Traverse. He has also commissioned a wide range of new writing. Current productions: Cinderella (Perth Theatre), Olga the Brolga (YDance), Winterwonderland (The Singing Kettle) & Mother Goose (Pace Theatre Co).
Simon Donaldson - Actor
Simon trained at the RSAMD. Theatre credits include Don Quixote (Theatre Modo), Big Baby, Into The Dark (Visible Fictions), Use Once & Destroy (Squidge Productions), Zlata’s Diary (Communicado), Fly (Liverpool Everyman) and The Tempest (Creation Theatre Co).
Simon won the Carleton Hobbs Award 2002 for BBC Radio drama. Radio 4 credits include Almost Blue, McLevy, The Great Escape, The Gowk Storm, Dr Korczak’s Example, His Dark Materials, The Old Curiosity Shop, Maigret and Belonging (Book At Bedtime). He is also involved in BBC7’s award-winning The Poetry Pod
Tim Settle - Actor
Tim has previously worked for Visible Fictions on Where The Wild Things Are and The Pearl. Other theatre work includes Kes (Perth Theatre), As You Like It (Oxford Shakespeare Festival) and Comedy Of Errors (Cambridge Shakespeare Festival). He has also worked with Scottish Opera on their production of Twelve Days Of Christmas. Radio includes The Home Front (BBC).
